Best Flower Locations in South Africa

Most tourists in South Africa are there to see the big five safari animals, relax at the beach, or soak up the scenes of Table Mountain. What most of them don’t know is that there is actually much more to do in this beautiful country. If you want something different, then why not try visiting any of the following flower locations.

Kroonstad

Kroonstad is a golden destination, especially in September and October when the sunflowers come into blossom. Anyone who happens to be in this place, whether passing by or for a visit is likely to be swept away by the beauty of these flowers.

Namaqualand, Northern Cape

When in Namaqualand, make sure that you take a stopover at Namaqua National Park. After the rains have ended marking the beginning of spring, daisies start to bloom, filling the landscape with a mix of bright colours amid granite outcroppings and big trees. This is a breathtaking view that you would not want to miss.

Eastern Cape, Port Elizabeth

While here, you can visit the Van Stadens Wild Flower Reserve. This is a great space to enjoy a view and the sweet scents of the flowers planted here. If you enjoy bird-watching, then this would be a great spot to visit.
